Our first winter weather storm came and went yesterday on November 15th, 2018 so we wanted to talk about our policies on this! It’s very scary to think about how badly hurt someone can get, or the damages that can be caused by traveling during inclement weather. Typically we have a cancellation policy that requires 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled appointment time, however things change up a bit in this scenario. The safety is a top concern from the management team for not only our guests, but our staff as well. It’s imperative that we stay on top of weather updates to ensure there is no traveling in harsh or unsafe conditions. So here it goes, we do our very best each time news of an impending storm is heard. We will always try to take as many precautions as we can the night before, whether it be to move guests up so everyone can get home at a decent time or before the weather gets too bad. We have in the past opted in for a delayed opening as well. In 2017 we did have a day or two where we needed to close all together. We do our very best to communicate with our guests! There are a few options. The salon is the best number to call, some of our guests communicate with their stylists directly, however reception is the best way to ensure the bookings get removed if you cannot make it. In the event that someone cannot make it to the salon, there is also the social media option. Our management team has access to our social media platforms, so even a simple message for an emergency or inclement weather is a good option. This is also a great way for us a salon team to keep track of messages from home! A lot of guests don’t know this, but online booking is an option that is very useful during the winter months. Why? It gives you the option to book an appointment at any time of the day, as well as cancel it! This way you do not have to worry about reaching out to us, the option is yours whenever you decide to make the change. Believe it or not, we get a lot of 3am online bookings for regular business hours. Its a great tool for everyone!

And last, social media messaging! It’s not always the best option, but it is an option! You’ll just need to give us your name, phone number, appointment time and date and we can handle the rest.
