Giving Back in Paramount Ways

When you think of the word Paramount, you think important, over the top and extraordinary, we do at least. Not only is it our salon’s name but we like to play on it in different ways. This time around we are giving back in a way that will make a huge difference. Our stylist Melanie came up with the idea of heading into New York City the weekend of November 16th-18th and dropping off donations to those in need. The donation list has so many items on it, that anyone can donate! We’ve listed some items as examples below! We try frequently throughout the year to give back to those in need. In October we donated 10% of all haircolor services that incorporated the color pink, as well as 100% of the services from our pink hair extensions, and a donation jar at the front the salon.  Some stylists even donated their tips! So this month we are getting even more hands on and collecting items in the salon to be hand delivered.  The items will be put into bags to create a care package! A good tip in thinking of what may be needed would be to think about the items you’d put into a weekend bag, or even an overnight bag and want to donate but maybe aren’t able to do as much as you’d like!

Here are some ideas of different things that would be awesome as donations!
-toilet paper

-bath essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap)

-deodorant

-dental hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss)

-diapers/underwear

-feminine hygiene products

-socks/hats/gloves/scarves/blankets

-old coats/sweaters/shoes/boots

-first aid kits & supplies

-meal coupons

-soft foods/cans of food w/ easy to open tabs

-protein bars/trail mix/beef jerky

-bottled water

-cough drops/mints

-snacks with a long shelf life (chips, crackers, etc.)

We are thankful for the roof we have not only over our heads at home, but at work as well.  We are grateful for the warmth, the food, the opportunity to do what we love day in and day out, and we are so happy to be able to service our guests, you all. Some days we may wake up in the morning and dread the day coming, but we must realize that life is beautiful, and kindness is free.  On the days when it is feeling so cold, find the warmth in your heart.  The season of thankful has arrived.
